Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great if you have the o-ring I am traveling without my 11-month-old & seem to have lost the o-ring to my Medela Harmony manual breast pump. I am sitting on a flight to Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic at 6 AM as I type this. I am trying to find a replacement o-ring. I have emailed the DR Medela office, and I hope they can get a replacement to me or I will be forced to manually express my milk twice a day from each breast for the 7 days I am gone. I’ve tried Amazon, but I can’t figure out how to make sure it gets delivered to my resort in Punta Cana. Medela, if you have any other suggestions, please reach out to me! Thank you

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Frustrated! I bought the Medela Harmony pump 3 weeks back and had to pump atleast once daily, when a couple of days back, I realized the pump wasn't working well. I tried everything and none of the parts looked damaged. and then I googled and found out that the O ring was missing. I live UAE, not only is the pump very expensive here, it is hard to find the replacement parts also..I so very disappointed :(

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great pump for on the go I bought this pump 3 days after the birth of my baby. One day I was pumping and there was no suction . I read the reviews about the O ring. I replaced the O ring with a little rubber band. The kind for kids hair and it works just fine. I love this manual pump so much but the o ring problem is definitely annoying. Medela should look into making another one with less defects

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I love this pump... when it works. I've realized the o ring was missing a chip so the suction was lesser...now the o ring is completely gone. I was hoping to buy just the o ring... but almost the same price as a whole new pump just to get the o ring, when I dont need the diaphragm or puller? Severely disappointed. I think I will be looking for another brand manual pump :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed First I would note the pump itself appears to work very well and is simple to clean and sanitize. My issue is with the ability to receive replacement parts. As with many other people who have reviewed the product, the o-ring went bad in both of our products about 50 days after we started using it. The only way to get a new o- ring is to buy the diaphragm and o-ring assembly, which is almost the cost of a new pump. Not only does this make the product unattractive from a total cost perspective, but also seems horribly wasteful and inefficient. At this time I would not recommend the product. Also, I have chatted with customer service and have been told this is the only way to get a replacement o-ring.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from O ring is terrible Have been using this pump for about 2 months and have already had to buy 3 new O rings so they last about 2 weeks using the pump once daily. However I keep buying it because I do like the pump when it works and it has amazing suction. But it is a rip-off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Boo! Bought the harmony hand pump and actually preferred using it to an electric pump. Until it lost suction, which apparently happens frequently (read the reviews!). After reading reviews and checking my pump I learn I have an o-ring problem, which requires me to buy a new puller for nearly the price of buying a whole new pump, even though other replacement parts are much cheaper. Feels like a racket. Boo medela! Boo!

Has the o-ring problem been fixed? Not buying this pump if it hasn’t been!

Asked by: Reneep
I’m already 6mon post pregnancy and I’ve been using it since then. I haven’t lost the tiny rubber band just yet (cross my fingers) but it’s not everyday use, only used when I pump at work. Previously with my first I think I went through 4 of the O rings and all I needed was the tiny rubber band. But.... So far so good!
