Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very weak. Not for direct pumping only. I had tried the Medela freestyle breast pump for a week. So I could have a portable pump when I went back to work. Everything was fine with the attachments except the motor is very weak to me. I had it on it's highest setting and I could hardly get anything. I'm a mom who has to pump only as my child doesn't like to take two direct nursing. My best advice is if you are only going to be exclusively pumping only do not buy the freestyle pump.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor suction I regret buying this product. The parts lost suction after one week of using 2-3 times a day. I bought replacement parts, and the same thing happened. I called customer service, and new parts are being sent to me. However, after reading others' reviews, I'm not confident that they will be better. It's so frustrating to spend time pumping and not getting milk. Also, the hands-free option is cumbersome and not useful.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Compact but not user friendly I was gifted this pump or I would have exchanged it. The size is great especially since I work and use it at my desk and its chargeable. However though that is the only good part of it. The pump is noticeably loud, so its not very discrete. The worst part is the gap under the connector. Unless you are sitting completely straight up you will have a problem with loosing milk. Second major issue is on the inside on the yellow plastic only I have a problem with it becoming discolored. I wash after every use and still have this problem. I have to work hard to get it to go away. I contacted customer service about these issues and they didn't seem to care just recommended replacing parts but its been doing it since day one, so it is just design flaws. Hope this can help some one out. For now I will just battle my pumping downfalls. And if you dont have receipt dont even bother trying to get help with the product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great pump, too many parts to clean This pump works great but I'm am pumping exculsvly for my new born son, this pump gets the milk out great. My problem is when it comes to cleaning there are up to 8 parts that need to be cleaned every time that its used and when i return to work this will not be acceptable. Im upset that i used my insurance to get this pump.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible experience I have 4 children and have breastfed all of them. I decided to get a new pump with my last one and got the freestyle...Terrible idea. This pump is horribly inconsistent. Sometimes it works, most often it doesn’t and I’m left with painful swollen breasts and lowered milk production. Beware of this pump....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great pump when it actually works This pump is great when it actually works, The battery is awful. I've had 2 pumps now replaced because the battery malfunctioned and would only work when plugged in. After reading blogs this seems to be very common with this pump. Medela assures it is not a common issue but clearly it is. I've known several people who had this pump and have had several replacements. The warranty is great but Medela requires you to remove the battery and charge for 24 hours before they will even order a replacement. This has yet to work for my defective pumps. You then have to call again then wait 24-48 hours for a new pump to be sent. It's an awful warranty process for mother's who are exclusively pumping. For a pump that is close to $400 you would think they would have the battery issue resolved especially for selling the pump as hands-free. The pump also leaks if you have movement when pumping. It makes it difficult to walk around or pump hands free (when the battery is working) if the milk spills our with the slightest movement.
