Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprised by the bad reviews I was super hesitant to get these because they have such bad reviews. But I needed additional connectors for pumping at work, and these were the only available option (they are a little different than the ones that came in my breast pump kit, which aren't for sale on Medela's website). I've only had these for a week, but they work as well as my original connectors. I have no problem with suction or milk back-logging into the tubes or anything. They work just great for me. I will update my review if anything changes, but so far so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I was worried about ordering this product based on the reviews but I'm using these connectors now with no problems or leaks. The suction and my milk output is the same too. These replacement parts have been great for over a week now. Thanks Medela!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it I love it! The only thing that I don't like that it's not comfortable to hold while pumping

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I second not getting the bad reviews... I was scared to get these after reading the terrible reviews but like the last reviewer I have no problems. The holes have nothing to do with the suction, that’s what the membranes are for. I’ve only had milk go into a tube once because I let the bottle get too full. I did have an issue with condensation in the tubes but that is easily solved by letting the pump run for a minute to let the tubes dry out after use. i do prefer the old style, but there’s nothing wrong with the new ones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well I am looking through these review and am not understanding why there are so many one-stars. This is my third baby and with each i have used the medela pump in style and another that I can’t remember at the moment. It’s always worked well. I have even tried Ameda which was ok but Medela always got me great supply. There was no issue with suction as a couple reviews stated and although there is a chance for spillage, it’s not a huge amount. More than enough stays in the bottle, obviously if u see it and react right away. Also there was very minimal back flow if I ever experienced it. Happened maybe 3x for me. I tried the Freemie this time around too and followed instructions and assembly to the T. Medela is still much better and I’d pick it over the Freemie or any other any day, regardless of it being bulkier and noisier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some difference between boxes I bought one box and had to return it due to the hole in the plastic. The next one was fine. I also noticed that some fit the life factory bottle neck threads better than others. Not sure why there is a variance. I appreciate that I can use different bottles with this pump and so I make it work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Confused I ordered the personal fit breast shields size 21mm because my aureola gets pulled through the 24mm breast shields. It's borderline painful. However, the 21mm rim seems to be too thick for these connectors. I haven't tried them yet because I am wondering if I also need to purchase the valves to go with these connectors. I cannot find the valves at babies r us. Where can I purchase personal fit valves?

Why are there grooves on the personal fit connectors where the tubing is inserted that can also screw on to a medela bottle? Is there a feature of the connector that I’m missing out on?

Asked by: KateT
Personally I never had a feature that connected to those grooves. I just inserted the hose and attached the bottle and started pumping. Didn't have any issues.

How can I used these with the Sonata pump? The tubing that connects the sonata will not fit in these. Can i pull the yellow connector out of the tube?

Asked by: Arminta
Hi Arminta--- These are not compatible with our Sonata Breast Pump. The yellow connector does not separate from the tubing and should not be forcefully removed. The Sonata Spare Parts Kit (Item# 68054) includes the connectors that you'll need for our Sonata. Please feel free to chat with us on our website if you need additional assistance. Have a great day!
