Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly wonderful! I wanted the Harmony as my “just in case” pump. Not really expecting to use it, because I really couldn’t imagine a time or place I couldn’t or wouldn’t use my Sonata. But the first time my little guy slept a little longer, and I needed to pump in the middle of the night - I didn’t want to take the time to set everything up, so I grabbed my Harmony and pumped right there in bed. It took a few minutes longer to pump, but I got just as much. Plus, a lot less hassle setting up and cleaning up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent. I bought this product to pump off excess milk/ pressure before feeding my daughter. I love how easy this pump is to use and it don’t hurt at all, I manually expressed my milk and it hurt so I was a bit scared to try a manual pump and I absolutely love it. Great for if you were going anywhere away from home and your nervous about breastfeeding in public like I am. Easy clean up as well. 100% recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to use! I was going to a concert and it was the first time away from my son for more than 4 hrs, so I knew I was going to need to pump or I’d be in pain! So I decided to try this so I can pump anywhere and I was pleasantly surprised! It is quite, so simple and I like it better than the automatic one!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features I bought this back in 2014 for my first child after trying different brands and even though it takes time. I loved it and makes no noise. I used it during working hours

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great hand pump I lost the O ring on mine while washing before realizing it was a thing, I received free replacement part from Medela! Great customer service experience. I ended up buying a second hand pump to keep at work, the suction is great and there's no noise. Definitely the best hand pump for me. Better than the lansinoh one (more suction). Thought it was a little expensive for a hand pump, hence 4 instead of 5

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for on the go I was given this at the hospital with the birth of my son who was struggling with regulating his sugar and temperature and being to tired to nurse properly. I've used plenty of pumps before, this being my 3rd child. I absolutely loved it. Easy to use, quiet, great for on the go pumps and I felt like it drew out more milk than an electric one. I actually liked this pump more than the electric one and I was able to easily pack it in a diaper bag or in my pump bag for work in case my electric one wouldn't work for one reason or another. Its lasted up until now. This past week I'd lost suction and I couldn't figure out why. Today throughly inspecting it, I found the diaphram part had cracked along the seam. It was allowing air in and losing the suction. In looking up the product information I'm disappointed the warranty is only for 30 days. For something so integral to our busy mom lives I feel like they would back their product up a little bit better. But in reading other reviews it seems they know it has a limited time use. In short, I loved the pump but I wish it held up better in the long run.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I love the hand pump--but there is a defect This is my second harmony hand pump and I absolutely LOVE the hand pump option for travel or quick pumping when you don't want to take out all the parts and pieces of the electric pump. When I had my second child last year I bought a new harmony because I accidentally threw away the handle of the old one. BIG MISTAKE. I thought something was wrong with my supply but then I realized that the new handle was missing a part/piece and the suction was totally off!!! I threw away my receipt and I can't remember where I got it (mom brain) or I would return it. There is a noticeable difference between the suction on the first pump I had and this second one. AND I remember the silicon piece firmly attaching to the old one where this new one is so flimsy. SEE PICTURES... SO if you buy a Harmony pump make sure you check that it is not defective before you buy it.

Will the membranes, valves and shields from my Medela pump n style work with this? Looking for a back up during air travel. Thanks!

Asked by: kit3338
Yes, the membranes, valves, and breast shields will work with this. You want to ensure that the breast shields you currently have separate from the connector and are not a single piece.

I want to use this while traveling so I don't need to stop to nurse and take my baby out of his car seat. Can I pump and feed directly from the bottle right away? (Note my drive is 4 hours and hubby drives)

Asked by: AshleycoteBrown
Yes, definitely. I found this pump to be perfect for travel

I have parts for the Medela symphony (flanges and tubes and all) can I use the flanges on this one?

Asked by: Godsgrace2212
Hi Godsgrace2212--- You can use the breast shields as long as they are the PersonalFit Breast Shields that separate from the connector. This will not be compatible with the 1-piece breast shield valve and membrane. Please consider chatting with us on our website if you have additional questions. We'd be happy to help!

I absolutely love this product !! Super disappointed though because when I tried to use it the other day it had NO SUCTION after spending a good 10 minutes trouble shooting I realized that that tiny 'o' ring is missing and I have no clue what to do ??!

Asked by: EvaV
Hi EvaV--- We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble with that. If the o-ring is missing, it would require a new one in order to create the proper suction. The o-ring can be found as part of the Harmony Diaphragm, Puller, and O-ring Assembly: http://www.medelabreastfeedingus.com/products/979/harmony-diaphragm-puller-and-o-ring-assembly Please reach out to our team directly so that we may check into your warranty. We're now available via chat on our website!

Are we allowed to heat up breast milk in these bottles? I know it's not good to heat up plastic because chemicals can leech out but I was told that there were no harmful chemicals in these polypropylene bottles.

Asked by: nicknack
Hi Nicknack, I would not microwave any milk in these bottles (or any breast milk ever for that matter), but they seem to be safe to do a warm water heat up. If the breast milk is frozen I would let it defrost in the fridge for a few hours and then do the warm water soak. If you are really worried about it though I know of a couple of Medela friendly glass bottles that wouldn't have any chemicals at all (Lifefactory and Evenflo being the two I know of). Good luck!
