Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pump and amazing customer service I got this pump supplied by my insurance in the hospital, and I exclusively pump for my son. I have tried many other pumps, ones highly recommended, but my body responds the best to this one. I have made it almost a year exclusively pumping with my pump in style advance. I had an issue where my pump was losing suction, and made a clicking noise, and when I called customer service they had a new pump shipped for me and arrived the next day. They paid shipping to ship the other one back as well. No questions asked, they are hands-down the best to work with. I highly recommend this pump.

Because of this pump i'm able to exclusively breastfeed my baby, it is so easy to carry it to work and it doesn't take that much space. Thank you Medela for existing!!!!!

Does the pump have to be plugged while using it?

Hi Kelsey--- Yes, unless you choose to use the 8-count battery pack with it. The 8-count battery pack will require a total of 8AA batteries. We recommend using rechargeable AA batteries. Have a great day!

I have the advanced personal double pump and received a breastpump bag at my baby shower. It doesn’t fit in the bag with the pump still in the black/Velcro “bag” it came in. It is safe to place and use the pump without the black/Velcro “bag“ it came in?

My wife is having a issue with the punp and not getting a good amount of milk while pumping., any suggestions??

If she is finding that the breast pump produces a strong suction, but she is unable to express breast milk, we would suggest taking a closer look at the sizing of the breast shield. If the suction strength of the breast pump is functioning well, she has properly fitted breast shields, and also notices low milk expression when breastfeeding, then we would suggest reaching out to a lactation consultant for further suggestions. 2. Is the started Breast pump rechargeable or does it require only batteries

Our Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump requires the use of the separate battery pack. The battery pack will utilize 8AA batteries. My friend has recently gave me this pump. She had used it 4-5 times only and then packed it and after 1.5 year she gave me bcs i was about to buy it..so can i use her pump..? Bcs u all have mentioned that its for single user.. please let me knw..

What is the difference between this pump and the Pump in Style Advanced On-the-go Tote/backpack and Freestyle?

The pumping mechanism of the Pump in Style Advanced Starter and Pump in Style Advanced On-the-go Tote and Backpack will be the same. The main differences will be in the bag and accessories included with each. Our Freestyle breast pump is a different pumping mechanism and design. The Freestyle has a digital display, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, memory settings, and can be used while mobile. The breast pump can be clipped onto your jean or belt loop.
