Medela is proud to award our newest Certified Nursing Center as part of our new Partner Program. The Partner Program recognizes accounts who continued to grow their business with the support of the Medela brand. What is a Certified Nursing Center? A Certified Nursing Center is not just about nursing. These stores offer a full product assortment that allows moms a “one stop shop” for all of her breastfeeding, nursing, feeding, and educational needs. These stores offer a dedicated staff with superior customer service, Certified Product Specialists and Bra Fitters, Breastfeeding Specialist referrals from their store or Breastfeeding Specialists on staff, educational materials and classes, and so much more.

The Lactation Center, located within The Birth Center at the new St. Francis Medical Center is the only full service breastfeeding support center in Colorado Springs. Our goal is to offer services to help make breastfeeding comfortable, convenient and successful for you!
At St. Francis Medical Center – babies come with instructions!! We offer prenatal Breastfeeding Classes for all expectant parents and Prenatal Breastfeeding Consultations for mom’s who anticipate unusual breastfeeding challenges.
When baby arrives, our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC’s) and specially trained Mom-Baby nurses are there to help you with the first feeding and throughout your hospital stay.
After you go home – we’re still here to help you be successful with breastfeeding!
The Lactation Center services include:
• A Breastfeeding “Hotline” for questions – talk to an IBCLC
• Private Out-patient Breastfeeding Consultation appointments with an IBCLC to assist you with breastfeeding difficulties.
• Weekly Breastfeeding Support Group – meet other breastfeeding mothers and share your successes and challenges! An IBCLC attends the group to answer questions, provide assistance/ support and help you weigh your baby.
• Free infant weight checks in our boutique.
• Breast pump rentals and sales.
• Nursing Bra fitting.
• A full selection of Medela breast pumps, products and supplies.
• Nursing shawls, pillows, nightgowns, baby carriers and MORE!
