  • Prevent Milk from Getting into Tubing

After, just getting through a panic attack because my new PISA had my milk in the tubing and under the diaphragm cap. I followed all the directions in the manual but wanted to know what happened! That old "an ounce of prevention" thing... I never would have guessed but it makes sense! Start...

  • Fighting to keep my milk supply! Help!

I have a 7 week old daughter that refuses to latch. I am now exclusively pumping. She has a very high upper palate and doesn't like nipple shields. I tried sizes 24mm and 20mm and she didn't like either. I had great supply when i had her (8/3), i would pump 5-6 ounces per pumping session every...

I have never been a great pumper and generally average 2-3 oz a sesion and have managed to get by. Now I am not even getting that. The problem is though I can feel...

  • Re: Not getting much when pumping

I have had some luck with this. A few things helped me that may help you: 1) are you in a quiet and relaxing place while pumping? I'm an RN and I work long 12-hr shifts. If I'm sitting in my office but thinking about everything happening with my patients, I don't have a milk ejection reflex...

  • Re: Milk supply decreasing :(

I'm in same boat, but what my lc told me was to empty breast after each feeding. If baby is still not latching. Make sure your pumping at least 8 times in 24 hours. 10 is preferred. 6 times is minimum. I am also taking Fenugreek ( it's a supplement and need to pick up another one called Lactation...

  • Re: Problems getting milk to letdown with pump

I feel your pain! My baby was 10 weeks early. I pumped like a mad woman while she was in the ICU. I built up a reserve and now that she is home and nursing constantly, I find myself depleting the reserve. She is inefficient at sucking effectively. It could take her an hour and a half to get 1 ounce....
