  • Re: How to store Freestyle pump?

Disbet: This is the information we have gotten from Medela: Around room temperature or slightly below (50-68°F), at ~40% charge, outside the device (microprocessor controlled devices always "drain" the battery even if not in use). Ideally charge once a year back to ~40% (it will lose charge...

  • Re: New Breast Pump

If you used the Pump in Style for a previous baby, yes, you will love the Freestyle. If you used the Pump in Style yesterday, you will love the Freestyle, but there may be a few days where you aren't sure. Every pumping mother gets very used to her pump and may notice even very small changes. In...

  • New Breast Pump

I own a pump in style. I am thinking about buying a freestyle.... has anyone used both or think that I will like the freestyle better than the pump in style? Thanks!

  • Re: Freestyle pump and storage bags

I have done both as well. I'd rather pour bottles into bags though. As far as the difference in oz lines on bottles/bags, it's best to write the oz from the bottle onto the bag. When milk freezes, it expands and looks like there is up to a whole ounce more. I usuallt rip off the top of the bags...

  • Freestyle membranes--what am I looking for?

I've been back at work for about 4 weeks, and pumping for my 5mo. Today I had a dramatically lower output than has been my norm. I'm trying to rule out all the obvious possible explanations before I panic. Everything suggests that you check your membranes. Am I looking for holes, cracks, what...

  • Freestyle not working after plugging in incorrect power supply

So, I have been pumping for 6 months now using a freestyle pump. Everything was going great until I accidentally plugged my pump to the incorrect power supply. Now the pump has a "plug" symbol and it won't turn on! I think I broke it. I hope it can be fixed. I am not sure I will be able...

  • Re: Not getting much when pumping

I have had some luck with this. A few things helped me that may help you: 1) are you in a quiet and relaxing place while pumping? I'm an RN and I work long 12-hr shifts. If I'm sitting in my office but thinking about everything happening with my patients, I don't have a milk ejection reflex...

  • Freestyle Problems, Pump Locking Up

So, my wife has been having problems with her brand new Freestyle pump. The membrane seems to get stuck to the back cap and stops pumping in-and-out. First, some nomenclature: the Freestyle breastpump end pieces consist of a shield, body, membrane, and back cap, where the pump tube connects to the back...
