Hi there....
1) yes you can combine both bottles of milk, and as another note, you can combine milk from different days as well, as long as it is pumped within the same 24 hour period.
2)I keep the pump going for a little while when I'm done for the reason you said, to get condensation out of the tubing.
3)I did find it difficult at first ...

I would strongly recommend starting to pump & freeze it ASAP!! The more you can pump and store in advance the better off you will be down the road when you return to work, as I'm sure you can imagine knowing that you ran out of stored milk at 5 mo. with your last child. That way if you end up having difficulty pumping enough when you go back to ...

This isn't really answering your question, but I wanted to comment - I suppose every doctor has a different opinion, but our pediatrician specifically told us NOT to ever add cereal (or anything else) to the bottle....but maybe that is just for normal circumstances, not if acid reflux is an issue or some other problem. Also, I wouldn't recommend ...

1 - yes you definitely can
2 - yes you can - but, I have read certain sources that say it should be from the same 24 hour period, so for example you shouldn't combine milk you pump on Monday with milk you pump on Wednesday. Also, if you are putting in the fridge, go by the earliest date when determining how long you can keep it (generally I've ...

But, my son's pediatrician told me that although their general rule is whole milk at 12 months, for exclusively breast fed babies, they say any time after 9 months if you stop (or seem to need to supplement because of diminished supply) then to ...

My understanding on this from reading and speaking with an LC is this: once you heat the milk, if your baby doesn't consume all of it at that time, you should get rid of it, don't put it back in the fridge to reheat it to feed it to her later. So you should only heat it once. I know the feeling thinking about having to dump it when it is SO hard ...

I also had the same issues and spoke with someone from Medela who told me that it was normal.

I don't know for sure how often you are supposed to replace them, but I have only replaced them when they were torn or the couple of occasions where I accidentally dropped one down the sink drain or lost one.

I don't know if you still are looking for relpiles or not....but I called Medela when I needed new tubing and they sent me new tubing for free. Also, if you call Medela, they will give you a list of locations near you that carry Medela products and you can then contact those stores to find out if they carry the specific item you need - I needed ...
