I would say going 8 hours with out pumping is not great, but as a busy mom of a first grader I understand. One question, does the baby breestfeed from the ''tap'' (the breast)? If she/he does then just offer the breast this will increase the supply.

Thank you for this reply.. My doctor today just said that he is only at 6 months of age (even though he was born on Cinco De Mayo, making him 7 months) for the fact that he was a primee and thus he is truly only 5 months, you would subtract two months..

I was wanting to know how come my son Alexander is eating for 46 out of 48 hrs in two days. He only eats a hand full of baby food, for he is only interested in a taste not a meal.
I was wondering if he is really hungry for he emptyies both breast at a single feed. Alexander's feed are 12, 3, 6, 9 o clock.

have you tried calling the 1800 number on the pump, this could be helped! I would also take it to a lactation consultant in your area!!They tend to keep parts around and try the internet!
Good Luck but if a new one is needed try the Medela Swing Pump, target has it, and I love mine!

My son is 4 1/2 months old, and he is feed from the breast mainly (well always), however I did have to use a pump duing his 9 day stay at the NBICU!!
