hairloss

My little one is 17 weeks old and I exclusively breastfeed. She started sleeping through the night at 10 weeks. I started my period at 15 weeks (yippee) and noticed not too long after that I began losing a lot of hair! I know it's normal to ''shed'' after birth, but really...how much is too much!?!?!? It's not coming out in clumps...or I'd be ...

Re: My baby has acid reflux, help!

Stay away from DAIRY!!! Dairy always seems to upset my little one and make her spit up more. I thought that mine may have had acid reflux. She would start that crazy crying behavior after/during feedings. I figured out that either she was done, and was getting mad because she just wanted to suck and stuff kept coming out. I tried a pacifier when ...

Re: Fenugreekto increase milk supply

How long did you take the fenugreek? I read that it takes up to 72 hours to see results. Do you continue taking it after you see results? I have a 16 week old and she started sleeping through the night at around week 9. I tried taking the mini-pill but it decreased my supply and I stopped it. Then I got my period, so I had to go back on the pill. ...

Re: Quick Steam Bags and Wipes

Until my little one was 8 weeks old, I had never heard of the bags nor the wipes. I wash my pumping stuff after every use with hot soapy water. I was boiling them for 10 minutes once a week, but now I use the bags once or twice a week. My baby has had no problems so I'm thinking this is OK. She's now 13 weeks and thriving!! I also recently went ...

Re: diareah

My baby's stools were always loose...even kind of watery. I was scared it was diarrhea too, but it was fine. When your baby gets to be about 4 weeks, the stool will thicken a little and not be nearly as often (which is nice)! Breastfed babies tend to gain more weight in the beginning, then even out about 4 months. My Dr said that he is ...

Re: Sharp pain inside my breasts

I get the same pains from time to time. My DD is almost 13 weeks and I haven't noticed them as much lately. I don't know what might be wrong, if anything, but it may just be normal. Just make sure it's not early stages of mastitis...I did some internet research to make sure mine wasn't. So far no problems! Good luck with breastfeeding!! I love ...

Re: mrsa using pump again.

MRSA is a nasty bug, but it usually doesn't stay alive on objects for too long. I would be tempted to buy new tubing as well, but if you can't, I'd use one of the steam bags and sanitize it. That should kill it. The other issue I'd be concerned about it MRSA in you. From my experience, it doesn't always go completely away...just dormant until ...

Re: In need of tips for not spilling milk at end of feeding

When I get done, I have some tissue on hand. I'll unplug the tubing first which makes the bottles a little more steady and less apt to tip over. You can also try placing a burp cloth or towel in your lap. Sometimes you'll just have to have a little milk on clothes!! My little one is almost 13 weeks old...and is thriving exclusively on ...
