Re: Breastfeeding after 2 months off?!

I would also go to Jack Newman's website. He has a lot of useful information. Also contact your local La Leche group and they can help. My firend who is also a BCLAC/RN told me about Jack Newman and a drug called Domperidone. It helps with Mom's lactation. I started taking it and went from pumping only 1oz total to 12oz or more. It has done ...

I wish I was there with you too! I went from a 38 D to a 38 F!! I know my local Motherhood store always has a wide selection of nursing bras. Just check out some of the pregger shops around you. Have you cjecked on Medela's site to see if they have any?

Re: To much breastmilk

Yes that is normal. At about 2-3 month your supply may or may not dip lower. I was always full as well, had a freezer stocked full of milk and around my 3rd month I started to dry up like you wouldn't believe. Then I got sick and I only pumped out like an oz total from both breast and was glad to have all that milk stored. Believe me it goes ...

Re: Cleaning on the go

I use the wipes and then rises with warm water after. That is what I do while I am at work. (12hr shift, pumping every 4 hrs) I feel it works the best for me.  Cleaning them with just the wipes works too. I just didn't want to take a chance with the cleaning agents in the wipes.

Re: Weaning

My LAC said to just skip a feeding at a time when you are ready to stop breast feeding. Like it you nurse or breast feed every 4 hrs, start doing it every six, then more and more. You will slowly start to produce less and less milk. Hope this helps! Engorgement wasn't that bad. I started to wean my son when I started back to work, my son was 6 ...

Tech Support for Pump In Style Advanced

Hello, I was pumping this morning and when I went to turn my pump off it would not  turn off. I had to unplug it before it would shut off. I tried shutting it off several times, but it wouldn't. Does anyone know what this could be? How do I reach Medela's Tech support? If they have to fix my pump do they give you one to use while yours is ...

Re: Disgarding milk?

My LC goes by the 5-5-5 rule. Breast milk is good in room temp for 5hrs, 5 days in a fridge, and 5 months in a freezer.  I know  Medela's storage guidelines are 4 hrs room temo, 5-7 days in a fridge, 3-4 in a freeezer, 6-12 in deep freezer. 24 hrs with 3 frozen ice packs.   Hope this helps.

Re: TAKING A VACATION BUT I NEED HELP W/A ?

it really all depends on how often you breast feed. More then likely you baby is taking in at least 2 oz every 2-3 hours? I would imagine 24oz a day at least. From 2 weeks to 2 months they recomend 20-32 oz for breast fed babies a day. I hope this helps! =) If you can do more then that, I would just in case something happens and a bottle has to ...
