Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and efficient I won this pump in a giveaway contest, and I’m so happy I was able to get such a wonderful pump. I’m a new mom, and I had no idea about the world of babies. This particular model allows me to pump with ease, and I’m able to do other things while it pumps. It’s not difficult to assemble, and works great! Definitely recommend this to anyone who is going back to work, or simply wants to have a hefty supply for emergencies, date nights, weaning, and so forth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy for always busy moms I originally bought this to use at work, but after one use, I decided I needed it for both home and work. It’s crazy to think that I can do house hold chores while pumping instead of being tied down to a wall. This was a game changer for me and my sanity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for on-the-go I got the Freestyle pump as my secondary pump because I wanted to be able to pump anywhere I want. It’s small but powerful and very easy to use. Like that you can easily switch from pumping both sides to one side or the other way round (without having to fiddle much). The accessories it comes with are also good - like the little bag that holds 4 bottles and an icepack. If there’s something to change, it’s the pumping parts as there are quite a few to clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful! I did a lot of research before buying this pump and am so happy with my selection. I love that it has a rechargeable battery so I can pump anywhere. I use the compatible bra and usually pump both sides while still able to fold laundry, do dishes, etc. It's quiet enough for when I'm at work and it works great expressing all my milk. I read some other reviews and am not sure why others have the problems they do- I've had great success and recommend to all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this pump! I decided to get the freestyle pump cause I’m always on the go and needed one with a battery to pump when I worked cause I worked on a farm and there’s no where to plug into. Best decision I made even though my insurance didn’t cover it all. Another awesome thing about the freestyle is the clip on the back of the pump! Just clip it to your pants and go about your duties while pumping!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exclusive Pumping Mom Do to some flow and latching issues, I exclusively pump (EPing) for my 3.5 month old son. After looking online I didn't find much on EPing in regards to anyone doing it or what products work well for the amount of use required for EPing. I am on my 4th pump, 3 of them being medela pumps. All three medela were great but the cheap off brand one was horrible, only used it for one session. I burned up my in-style but loved it while it lasted, and it was out of the 12 month warranty. So on to the next. I have the medela single pump that I got free through my insurance. Its great but not convenient for EPing since one at a time takes you twice at long, but it's great for a back up pump which I needed when I burned up my in-style. I was hesitant to buy this one because of the price but I was about to go back to work so I needed a more portable one. Paired with the expression bra, it soo easy to be hands free and mobile, I can walk around the house and get things done or don't have to worry about being near a plug at work. I love the design of the membrane since I went through so many of the small white ones with the in-style. The membranes with this pump are much more durable and easy to clean and not too small so they aren't as easy to lose. I also had issues with condensation in the tubes with my in-style. The design of the membrane and tube connection of this pump eliminates that problem completely! And there are less pieces with this design so it's much easier to clean and assemble (and remember when you're running late for work and throwing all your stuff in the bag to get out the door). The tote is great! I carry it with me all day as my purse and pump tote. No one knows the difference. There isn't much extra space if you use cooler too, I have a fridge at work so I don't have to, but its great to have if you need it. It has good suction and can adjust to your comfort level. The time display is awesome so I dont have to time my sessions and I can easily see how long I have left. It also learns how long you normally pump after a few sessions and will automatically cut off after the time is up, but there is a power button so you can turn it off early or back on if you want to go longer. It still works just as well as day one with 2 months of use (5-6 times a day).

Hello. I am using my Medela freestyle in a country with quetionable water supply. My question is if it is safe to sterilize (after washing) the equipment and bottles after every use rather than once a day as suggested by the instruction manual.  Thanks

Asked by: Maya
Hi Maya--- The breast pump parts and bottles can be sanitized more often than recommended. They can be sanitized after each use if you'd like. If you have any further questions, pleas consider live chatting with us on our website. Have a great day!

I am hoping to use this with the freeie cups. Do you know if it works well, i need to be able to pump while at work but with no privacy room available.

Asked by: Beth23
Our breast pumps have not been tested for use with non-Medela products. We, therefore, cannot recommend that it be used with them since it could impact the performance of your breast pump. Please consider chatting with us on our website if you have any additional questions. Have a great day!

I already have the medela sonata that I love, but I'd also love an option for when I'm at home and want to be a bit more mobile. Can I use the tubing and collection etc that I have already from the sonata with the pump from the freestyle?

Asked by: kg13
The breast milk bottles and breast shields can be used with both breast pumps. The Freestyle Breast Pump would require different tubing, connectors, valves, and membranes than that of the Sonata. Please consider reaching out to our team if you need assistance in locating these items. We're now available via chat on our website 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, and Saturdays until 12pm CST!

I just found mold in my breast shields! How can i clean and sanitize enough? I soaked it in vinegar, scrubbed it off and now i am boiling them... do i need to get new parts?

Asked by: MeghanM
Hi MeghanM--- We would suggest replacing the parts and reaching out to our team via chat on our website so that we may better assist. We want to ensure that proper cleaning procedures are being followed after each use so that this can be prevented with the new parts. I love my Freestyle pump but the rechargeable battery is not working. I purchased a brand new one to see if that would do the trick, but the same problem persists - no power without plugging it in. Any advice?

Asked by: MarylandMom
We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this. You'll want to ensure that the proper instructions are followed for first time use with a new battery. The new battery will require a full, uninterrupted, 24 hour charge. You can still use it while it's charging, but be sure to increase the charging time based on how long you use it. If you use it for 2 hours of pumping, then you'll want to charge it for a full 26 hours. If that does not resolve the issue, please consider reaching out to our team via chat on our website. We're available 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, and Saturdays until 12pm CST! Your reference number is 218737.
