Rated 5 out of 5 by from great help for struggling moms with low milk suppl I have used the sns nursing system for six children due to my inadequate milk supply. I used it for a very long time with each one of my children.I have found it a big help in helping my babies stay on my breast and feed longer than they normally would due to the milk flow coming in through the sns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life saver This device enabled me to return to nursing my disabled child after double mastitis. So grateful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Takes a lot of practice to use You need to use this consistently in order to get the hang of it for it to be useful. I don't like that you have to mix up the formula in a separate container and then pour it in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total waste of money! A very overpriced plastic bottle that leaks constantly. You're better off making your own as this system product is about as useful as a poorly conceived prototype at best!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money This thing was very expensive. And you just tape it to your breasts! And you’re trying to get your nipple and this tube into the baby’s mouth, meanwhile the baby is ripping all the tape off your chest. This did NOT work well. I might pay $15-20. Not worth the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Always leaked no matter what tips I tried I bought this to help supplement for my twins because after mastitis on left breast followed by right breast my milk supply dropped. It worked maybe 5% of the time. It continued to leak no matter what I tried. Not just drops but a steady stream of a leak. So no I'm certainly not pleased with it and I threw it away after almost two months of hoping I could make it work.

Can this system be used to give liquid cereals? The child is refusing to take anything but breast milk. TQ

Asked by: KayS
I would not recommend it. The tubes are quite small and the cereal would likely get stuck in them. Also, considering the SNS is designed to stimulate milk production (not just be an alternative to other methods of feeding) I would think giving cereal in I is not a good idea. It takes time for baby to get used to cereals and other foods. I'm sure they will come around!
