Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life saver! These are amazing! Not only does it protect my tender nipples, but collecting the let down milk is an amazing feature! Soft pads just absorb and stick to nipples, wasting all that milk! This is my 3rd child and I wish I had discovered them sooner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A MUST HAVE!! These saved me! Keeps air flowing around delicate skin for proper healing, and I could work without embarrassment because it also catches milk that may leak. Be sure to empty cups every 2 hours depending on your body. I buy these for all my friends who are breastfeeding. These are a must have! Happy breasts = successful feeding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life saver! I was bound and determined to quit pumping but I saw these and tried them. It saved my nipples! They were so sore from rubbing all the time and they looked gross from having them set in a warm environment. (I kept pads/cloths in my bras to help with irritation) As soon as I tried these it was relief. After a few days my nipples looked and felt tons better. They look perfectly fine under clothes unless u wear a nursing pad also. Then it causes it to look a little lumpy. If you have sore nipples please try these for a week. You won't be sorry!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life savers! These little guys helped me through the early stages of breast feeding a couple times. Wearing these in between feedings provides the healing time needed! It allows airflow instead of having you're pad or bra resting directly on your nipples causing even more irritation. I often buy these as shower gifts for friends who I know plan to breast feed. I'm on my 6th child and plan to use them right from the beginning rather than waiting to see if I need them. Totally worth it!

How long should I wear the soft shells at one time? For example, is it ok to wear them throughout the day when I am not nursing? Should I wear them for a specific amount of time prior to feeding?

Asked by: Boomer27
We suggest wearing them between feedings until your baby latches on to the breast without difficulty. If you have any additional questions, please consider reaching out to your healthcare provider or lactation consultant. They would be able to better discuss what is best for your specific situation. Have a great day!

My baby is 5 months old and I am still using a shield due to very tiny nipples. They are almost flat. Will this product help me wean my baby off the shield?

Asked by: Alsmom
We would recommend reaching out to a lactation consultant so that they may help determine the best option for you given your specific circumstance. The SoftShells are intended to help with flat or inverted nipples. It is possible that they may help your little one to latch due to helping flat nipples to protrude more, but it is recommend to seek advice from a healthcare professional.

When should one use TheraShells vs SoftShells and what is the difference between these products?

Asked by: Dr.MMT
Both are designed specifically to help with sore or flat/inverted nipples. We suggest beginning to wear the shells during the last couple of weeks of pregnancy. The TheraShells are a bit more economical and have the parts needed for using it for sore nipples and for inverted/flat nipples. The SoftShells are made of a softer material with flexible back pieces and are sold in a set for sore nipples and then a separate set for inverted/flat nipples. We hope you find that information helpful! If you have any other questions, please consider chatting with us on our website. We're available 24 hours a day, 5 days a week and Saturdays until 12pm CST.

Can you keep the letdown collected in the soft shells to feed to baby (if foam insert is removed prior to letdown)?

Asked by: Rlj7
Yes, you can. We just suggest that you ensure that the foam insert has been removed as these are not made with materials specifically intended for food grade purposes. You'll want to ensure to also follow breastmilk storage guidelines and use the breast milk within 4 hours if stored at room temperature. Please consider reaching out to us via chat on our website if you have any questions. Have a great day!
