Along with all of the other medela accessories I've reviewed, this is an OKAY design, but it could be improved if they just looked at some of the flaws in their design. Similar to other brands, this pad is designed from two semi-circle pieces of pad being glued together, leaving a nasty seam right down the middle. If they designed similar to the Johnson and Johnson brand of breast pad, there would be no seam and it would lay flat against the breast.

I assumed being one of the most recommended breastfeeding brands out there Medela would have one of the best nursing pads. But wow I was sure wrong! Not only do these leak when only half of the pad is wet but I have had 6 pads now break open in my bra and the little gel beads that soak up liquid explode all over. They also don't stay in place very well as the sticky strip is not very sticky and there is only 1 strip on the top that is supposed to hold it in place. I won't be buying them again and will be going back to the no name brand which may not hold as much, but preform much better.
