Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pump ever I am a mother of 4, I nurse the previous 3 children for at least a year. I tried other Medela pumps, but Symphony by far is the best pump on the market. It’s fast, effective, and with no milk left behind. Only issue its not convenient for traveling due to its size. I would recommend this pump to all my friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only used half. Loved the half i used. I was prescribed this product. So I tried it. I struggled with trying to hold two boobs with two suction pumps which though the pump did everything it could to function. My juggling often left me with no hands and one pump popping off and milk running down the cone and onto my lap. I often considered cutting up a bra and trying it that way, but I am too busy to switch bra's every time I wanted to pump and I wondered if that would actually help or if id end up with pump hickys on my breast as a result. My solution to the juggling act when trying to use this product is to just use one. takes more time, but the pump itself is great and I didn't have to juggle my boobs and pump bottles. which resulted in a free hand. I like this product, but I only was successful in using half of it.

What kind of plastic are the flanges and bottles made out of? Also, the flanges and bottles now appear slightly cloudy (I've been using them for about a month) - what causes this?

Asked by: rose786
Our bottles and breast shields are made of Polypropylene and are made without BPA, BPS, PVC, or restricted phthalates. Our products will not discolor from normal washing and usage according to Medela recommendations. If the product is appearing different in appearance, it could be because of staining from external sources. Minerals present in the water used for cleaning or sanitizing can cause discoloration. Only use drinking-quality tap or bottled water for cleaning. Our team is available via live chat on our website if you have any other questions!

Should the tubing be changed for every user? Also, there was condensation in the tubing the very first time I used it. Any way to prevent that?

Asked by: Hermione1234
Yes, each user should have their own tubing and their own pumping parts. It is normal for clear condensation to develop in the tubing as you're pumping since this can be due to the temperature of your body or of the breast milk. You just want to ensure to keep the tubing dry in between uses. One way to help clear the condensation is to leave just the tubing connected to the breast pump and let it run for a few minutes with just the tubing. That will help push air through and help it dry out. You can also hang the tubing up to air dry while it's not in use. We hope you find that information helpful. Have a great day!

How can I buy one of the the Symphony pumps? There is no store selling it in my area.

Asked by: Anick
Hi Anick--- You can visit www.medelalocator.com to find retailers in your area. You will want to type in your zip code. There will be a tab on the top of the results that reads "Rent Products". This will generate the list of rental stations in your area. You will wan to reach out to the rental stations that show the phrase "purchase options available" and list the Symphony on their list of products. You can also feel free to chat with us on our website if you need assistance in finding a rental station with purchasing options.
