I have been using the rings for 2 months and have not had a ring break, I do wish they would sell the rings outside of the kit.

I have used the bottles since my 14 month old was 9 months old. The rings on the bottles began to break about 3 months ago (4 months worth of use). Medela's pump is wonderful and I have not had any problems at all with it, however, the rings are not able to be bought alone, so I have to buy the whole accessory kit just to obtain the rings. NOT GOOD. She also is dropping them from her highchair or in store carts. At least possibly sell just the rings so I don't have tons of parts that I don't need.

My daughter is only a few weeks old so I have not had the problem of rings breaking. However I have had the problem of collars breaking and/or the family dog eating them. I am down to very few rings with many bottles. It would be a huge help if Medela would offer the rings separate from the kit. It gets to be a pain to locate the few rings I have to get a bottle ready.

Very frustrating when you spend so much money on an investment and the parts keep breaking. My wife loves the pump but were done with the bottles because of the rings (collars) break easily. We have 22 bottles, 12 nipples and 2 collars. Medela should replace individual collars at little to no cost.

Naturally, I've had the same problem with the rings and I'm now on my second replacement pack. What I don't understand is why Medela has not responded to a problem that was identified by many different consumers over a year ago and ON THEIR OWN SITE. Medela, please offer just the rings at a fair price, so we brand advocates can raise the level of our ratings.

We have purchased several sets of bottles just because the rings break! I love my Medela pump, but may discontinue use of the bottles because of this issue. My son drops his bottle from the high chair and the rings are done.

I just purchased this set 2 weeks ago and all the rings have broken!!! I am beyond frustrated with this product as this is not the first time i have replaced the rings! Medela your pumps are great, however, your rings are less than adequate!!! I am done with Medela bottles and will definitely tell all my friends the same thing!!!

These rings ARE terrible! We've gone through at least 20, half of them in the past few months. Granted, I'm trying to teach my 1yo not to drop her bottle, but that is obviously not a practical solution. I think the rings may be too hard, and therefore brittle. We have had a cracked one literally on the first use at least once! They should absolutely be available for sale separately, and at a reasonable price since the value is so lacking. I have had no need for the other "spare parts" that come in this kit, with the exception of a few caps. I think we are done with these bottles for good at this point!

Just like all the other reviews say, the rings break! It would even be one thing if Medela sold JUST the rings, but you have to buy ALL of the stuff that goes with it...the caps, nipples, the little disks that go inside. FRUSTRATING. I would give it NO stars, but that's not an option. Like other people have said, the pump is FANTASTIC! The only real problem are the rings. When my baby drops his bottle, there's milk all over the floor, and we're down another ring.

I have my 4 month old in daycare, and it is already twice that these rings crack WHEN THEY ARE BEING WASHED!!! No dropping, washing! It is frustrating when you just spend 40 dollars + on bottle sets and the rings break. I love my breast pump and being a full time working mommy I love buying items that make pumping simple, but these rings are driving me up the wall.

I have a 4 month old baby, I only use one bottle a day but like to have several ready just in case but the rings are not good, I will like to have easy acces at my local stores, I agree Better quality is needed

I agree! I started with 10 and am now down to 3. It's also a pain because they don't sell just the rings in a lot of stores. Just bought a 4 dollar bottle set and no cracks yet, but plenty of drops from my baby.

I want rings that don't break on the first drop from the high chair. It's just a simple drop, not a slam-dunk, and onto linoleum. I have probably 8 rings and only two that are still uncracked. And when they crack, they leak. Please make stronger or metal rings!
