Why does the cap have a hole in it? My breast pump does and when i use the cap it feels like the suction is less then whenI am pumping from both breast. When i cover the whole with my finger suction feels harder. Just seems like it shouldn't be there.

I haven't used my pump in a few months but I always double pumped so I never noticed there was a hole in there. The only reason I can think of for having the hole there is some women have sensitive breasts especially after giving birth. Also, when my son was in the NICU, they told me that how much suction you had was not as important as stimulating the whole breast while pumping. Good luck!
