Medela, Inc. is issuing a voluntary recall of a limited number of Pump In Style Advanced breastpumps. There are no safety issues associated with this recall. The pumps affected by this recall were manufactured between February 10, 2010 and March 3, 2010 and were shipped between February 10, 2010 and April 30, 2010.
If you have a Pump In Style Advanced that exhibits the following signs, and was manufactured during the specified timeframe, you may be eligible to receive a replacement unit:
- the pump will not turn on,
- the pump turns off on its own,
- the pump reduces or loses suction during the pumping process, or
- the pump is making a clicking noise.

The only products affected are those specific items listed above.
To obtain your replacement product, a serial number will be required to ensure your pump is affected by this recall. Please email Medela Customer Service, letting us know if your pump was purchased in the United States and its serial number (refer to the image below to identify your serial number), or call us at 1-800-435-8316. If you do not have a serial number, your pump is not impacted by this recall. We will send you a follow up email if additional information is required.
