After digging into some oooold posts on one of these discussion boards, I came across a solution I was looking for, so I wanted to post it to this general board for anyone else with this issue. I have 5oz Medela bottles from 2 years ago that I want to use with my baby that is due in weeks. However, the new wide-based nipples do not fit the rings of the bottles I already have. Because their replacement kits aren't yet available in stores, call customer service (800-435-8316) and they will send you new rings for FREE that fit the old bottles and hold the new nipples!
Just wanted to share this helpful info for anyone else who has been going nuts like I was! :)
