From what I have been told it is fine as long as they are sterilized. I personal lypump and put them in the bags, if I am putting them in the freezer. If I am just storing short term i put them in the bottle in the freezer. Best of luck!!!

i loooove those little bottles!! i use them to store milk in the fridge and when we go out i just drop them in the diaper bag with a nipple/collar/cap and we are good to go, the rest of the milk goes to bags for freezing. we wash them with hot soapy water and then i sterilize them BEFORE putting the freshly pump milk in... works for me and like i said i love them, we just couldn't live w/o them!! my lil girl will sometimes take 2 oz and some other times will drink 5oz so these work perfectly for me, she either gets 1 or 2 bottles per feeding :D Hope this helped

Thanks! I feel better knowing they can be sterilized. I actually also called Medela and they confirmed that they are reusable. I have not yet tried the bags as the bottles work great right now. Why do you use ther bags? Just because they take up less space? Thanks again!

I find freezing them is easier in the bags, because it does take less space.

I have been creating a freezer supply in the bags to prepare for going back to work. But I was recently hearing that the bags often leak/rip during thawing. How do you thaw yours?

I only use the bottles (not the bags) but I don't think reheating would be any different. I thaw them in warm tap water, which doesn't take long. Do NOT microwave them and Do NOT use water that's too hot. You don't want to "kill" any nutrients. It's good that you are setting up a supply. I did the same. I am now breastfeeding my 4 month old in the morning, afternoon, evening and night but have the day care give her the bottles with the breastmilk during the day. Works great! It also only took me about 3 days to get her used to the bottle (make sure to do that before you go back to work) and I am relieved that everything is working out like I planned. The only thing I hate is pumping at work and trying to keep up with the demand. But I am hanging in there... Good luck to you!
