This is going to seem lazy, but honestly it's more related to a time issue at work...Knowing that breastmilk remains safe for consumption x5 hours at room temperature...if I'm going to pump again within 5 hours, is it Ok to just clean my breast pump equipment every other feeding versus every feeding? The theory being that the breastmilk on the equipment has been sitting there for less than 5 hours, therefor should not be growing any bacteria and should still be safe, right?
Yes, I've tried the quick-clean wipes and the sanitizing microwave bags...and will continue to use those after each feeding if necessary.
