Hello Everyone, this is my first time posting on Medela, please pardon I havn't followed discussion board manners. Does a 27 or 30 mm breastshield empty breast better than a 24 mm? Thank you in advance for your feedback.

It doesn't really affect output. The size is just to fit your nipple, not for output. I did read that breastshields make your milk come out more slowly so nursing will sometimes take longer. I had to use one because my baby was a preemie and had been on feeding tubes. The shield was the only way that I could get him to transition. He now doesn't use a shield and seems to nurse faster and empty me more effectively.
