my daughter is 2 months old today.. i started off strictly breastfeeding her for about a week and a half, i had a great supply, however i became so stressed out and tired that i started with the bottle and not breast feeding as much now i only get to let her nurse a few times a day, she drinks about 4 oz before she's full, and i dont have nearly enough supply anymore... i ordered the pump in style and bought some milkmaid tea... will my milk come back, to a point where i can take away the bottle?

First, congrats on the two month old! They start to get really fun around now. Yes, your milk supply can improve. Your body makes what it thinks the baby needs. If you can, try to nurse on-demand as much as possible. When you are away from your baby, pump every three hours. Hang in there! Just remember, every drop of breastmilk she gets is good for her! Also, remeber that you are a good mother no matter what your milk supply is like!

Be sure to eat lots of protein and get lots of fluids as well. Try to not stress because that can decrease your supply even more. Also, be sure to get as much rest as possible (I know that is easier said than done with a baby!). :-) There are some herbs you can take (but get approval from the pediatrician first) - Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle. There is also a Lactaid shake that has Tofu in it, but I have misplaced my recipe. I am sure that your hospital lactation consultants would have it. I agree with the previous poster on nursing on demand. Also try to pump for 5-10 minutes after feedings to stimulate even more. Best wishes and enjoy every moment! My baby is 7.5 months old and the time goes WAY too fast!
