Hi! I've been using this medela breast shells since baby Asa (4m11d) was born. For me, this device work as breast pads. Because it's useful in collecting leaking milk and, avoid me from shame with a wet spot on my clothes. It works fine for me unless when I was being clumsy, bending over and forgot that I'm using it.
