October 10, 2007: McHenry-basedMedela Inc., a leading worldwide provider of breastpumps and breastfeeding accessories, will be inducted into the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) on Friday. Five Illinois state officials will attend the SHARP award ceremony at Medela’s headquarters to salute the company as a model for worksite safety and health.

“We want to keep all members of the Medela family safe and healthy,” said Michael Larsson, chairman Medela Holding, who will be present to accept the award. “That’s why we’ve worked diligently to meet SHARP’s rigorous requirements.”

The awards ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 12 at 1101 Corporate Dr. in McHenry, Ill. Members of the press interested in attending the ceremony and following lunch should RSVP to Katherine Sands at 312-541-9300 ext. 107 or ksands@reynoldsgroup.com.
