Mothers and infants have been a professional focus for Susan Snyder RN, MSN, IBCLC, RNC-MNN for more than three decades. She continues to share her passion for mothers and infants with undergraduate nursing students as a full time faculty member in Maternal Child Health at Oakland Community College. Susan brings together her passion for nursing education with her clinical expertise in labor and delivery, establishing lactation, and infant feeding challenges. She has developed the breastfeeding education curriculum for the community; which she continues to implement on a monthly basis.
Susan completed her graduate work at Michigan State University and is certified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant as well as holds a certification in Maternal Newborn Nursing. She is a member of the National League for Nursing, Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), and Michigan Nurses Association.
