Amy joined Medela in 2006 as Manager, Medela Education and Programs. She began her practice as a pediatric nurse at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago where she was later appointed Director of Nursing Resources. Amy spent several years on the faculty at Loyola University School of Nursing in Chicago. There she taught pediatrics and community health and served as the Project Manager for Loyola's school-based health center at Proviso High School, a HRSA funded project providing primary health care and preventive services. Amy has presented nationally and authored numerous book chapters. Her most recent publications include chapters on "Evidence-Based Practice" and "Organizing and Planning Care" in the 2008 Nursing Management and Leadership textbook. Amy graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a master's degree in Health Systems Management and is a member Sigma Theta Tau.
