Description

The Own Mother’s Milk Calculator is a web-based tool to help clinicians, administrators and policymakers estimate the anticipated impact of increasing own mother’s milk feeding on the risk of morbidities and their associated costs. The calculator is based on findings from a series of analyses of the LOVE MOM (Longitudinal Outcomes of Very Low Birthweight Infants Exposed to Mothers’ Own Milk) cohort of very low birth weight infants that included the collection of detailed feeding data and micro-level cost data. This webinar will describe how the calculator can be used and the science underlying the calculations.
