Certified Nursing Center - Mother's Milk First Lactation Center
By carrying a full line of Medela products, we are able to meet the customer’s needs. With the products placed according to the planogram, it is easy for the consumer to quickly locate products. The large windows to the Atrium allow for increased product awareness. The certified bra fitters assist in correct fit and provide knowledge for moms on the products.
North Central Baptist and Mother's Milk First Lactation has been committed to helping new parents for many years but were able to open a free standing store 4 years ago with the opening of a new Women's Center for deliveries. We have seen our deliveries increase from about 100 per month to over 200. We are expected to add an additional 60-100 per month over the next year or two. With the planned increase, we are looking forward to expanding our services to both inpatient and outpatient lactation.
Mothers' Milk First Lactation is open Monday thru Friday 9AM-4PM, closed 12-1PM. Patients needing outpatient consults are by appointment only. We do welcome drop-ins for questions. A Creamatocrit is available for caloric testing of expressed breastmilk. We are also a drop off center for donor milk for the Austin Milk Bank.
