Certified Nursing Center - Great Beginnings
The Women’s Hospital Lactation Department offers comprehensive services to women who wish to breastfeed. Their professional staff includes six Registered Nurses who are also International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC), six Registered Nurses who are also Certified Lactation Counselors, and five Registered Nurses who have extensive clinical training in lactation.
Great Beginnings comprehensive services include:
- Monthly breastfeeding classes that cover basic information on feeding and pumping.
- Breastpump rental or purchase along with other specialized breastfeeding aides.
- Warm line for mothers with breastfeeding questions or problems.
- Complimentary weight checks in the Great Beginnings Store.
- Outpatient consults by appointment in the Great Beginnings Store.
