Nursing Mothers

Question:

What if the rental equipment is stolen from my Rental Station?

Answer:

The direct theft should always be reported to the police. Forward a copy of the police report to Medela listing the serial number(s) stolen. Your account will be billed for the equipment. Medela does request that you submit this bill to your insurance company to claim. If you have Loss and Damage Waiver, it will cover any uninsured portion of the loss. Medela does request proper documentation of claim status from your insurance provider before settling Loss and Damage Waiver claims. If an individual who is renting the equipment from the Rental Station experiences a theft, they are not covered under the Loss and Damage Waiver. Rental Stations without Loss and Damage should report the loss immediately. The Rental Station will be billed for the equipment and can settle with their individual renter. Those with Loss and Damage Waiver can report the individual's loss, by sending Medela a letter of explanation with a copy of the completed and signed rental agreement. Medela will remove the equipment from the Rental Station's account and bill the individual renter directly.
