About Us
The Women’s Center Boutique at Riverside Methodist Hospital is home to convenient, comprehensive, outpatient breastfeeding service. Clients enter into a warm boutique atmosphere. They can relax with tea, rent a pump from one of the largest rental stations in the U.S. or shop for fun items, such as breastfeeding accessories, pumps and nursing bras. All staff are certified bra fitters and extensively trained to assist customers with questions about pumps and equipment. Retail and rental services are professionally guided and individualized to provide excellent customer service and build lasting relationships with our clients.

The Outpatient Lactation Services suite is adjacent to the Boutique through a single door entry. Available in the suite is a free baby weigh station, breastfeeding area, lactation consultant offices and fitting rooms. Outpatient Lactation Services include private consultation, breastfeeding helpline, baby weigh stations, day and evening support groups, flange fittings and creamatocrit testing. The helpline is answered Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, and urgent calls on the weekends. The Breastfeeding Moms group meets every Thursday 1:30 to 2:30 and every 2nd and 4th Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm. All nursing moms are welcome.

Lactation services began in 1990 at Riverside Methodist Hospital and became an integral part of Women’s Health Services. Outpatient lactation services became an inclusive program in 1997 at The Elizabeth Blackwell Center; a freestanding facility for wellness, women and family education. The Women’s Center Boutique and Outpatient Lactation Services are now located inside the main hospital in the new Women’s Center entrance at 3535 Olentangy River Rd. in Columbus, Ohio. Boutique hours are 9am to 6pm Monday thru Friday.
